“Beyond Womanhood: Embracing Wifehood”

Proverbs 31:10-12

An excellent wife who can find?

She is far more precious than jewels.

The heart of her husband trusts in her,

and he will have no lack of gain.

She does him good, and not harm,

all the days of her life.

On the day of our nuptial, my wife looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown. She radiated beauty and grace, and I couldn't take my eyes off of her. But what's even more beautiful about her is her heart - it's filled with kindness, compassion, and warmth, and it's what makes her the most amazing partner I could ever ask for. God’s word and situations in life that she refused to give up.

In my journey of being single for many years, I was used to planning my own schedules. However, when I got married, it was challenging for me to adjust to my wife's constant inquiry about my daily schedule. But as I sought God through His word and the Holy Spirit, I came to understand the purpose of a wife as a helper, motivator, and supporter. As husbands, we need to share our vision with our wives so they can help us achieve our goals. Seeking God daily equips us to be better halves and fulfill our righteous calling as husbands and wives.

In the New Testament of the Bible, Jesus promised his disciples that he would ask the Father to send them another Helper, who would be with them forever. This Helper is the Holy Spirit, who reminds, convicts, and motivates us to fulfill God's will, purpose, and vision for our lives. It is believed by some that our spouses can be physical embodiments of the Holy Spirit, serving as helpers who remind us of our purpose and advocate for us when needed.

As husbands, we should recognize the invaluable worth of our wives in fulfilling our calling and purpose. They are more than just companions but rather our co-equals in every aspect of life. In fact, they are our spiritual cheerleaders, advocates, and best friends, just like the Holy Spirit. Let us appreciate and cherish our wives for the beautiful, equipped, and capable beings they are, and encourage other men to do the same. #proverbsaday #christianmotivation
